Expert Laser Tattoo Removal, Trusted by Austin’s Top Tattoo Studios
Now available at our Research Blvd location!
Located inside a tattoo studio and staffed by experienced laser technicians, we understand exactly what it takes to prepare your skin for something new.
That’s why many of Austin’s top tattoo artists refer their clients to us when it’s time to lighten or fully remove existing ink.
Whether you’re prepping for a cover-up or want complete removal, we’ve got you covered.
Tattoo lightening usually takes just 2–4 sessions to fade old work depending on what your cover up will be.
Total removal is also possible and typically requires 8-12 sessions, depending on factors like ink colors, tattoo age, and the type of ink used.
We use advanced laser technology to safely and effectively fade or erase your unwanted tattoos—so you can move forward with clear skin or a fresh canvas.

FAQ
How does laser removal work?
Tattoo lasers produce a very short burst of intense but gentle laser light. The light consists of different wavelengths, which are absorbed by the pigments in the tattoo ink. This absorption causes photothermolysis – a form of targeted heat damage – directed at the tattoo pigment while minimizing harm to the surrounding skin tissue. Once the pigment is broken down into smaller particles, the body’s lymphatic system can flush them out through its normal elimination processes.
What type of laser is used?
We use the Affinity QS laser by Cynosure—American-made and one of the most trusted names in the aesthetic laser industry. Our device is a Q-switched Nd:YAG laser that works quickly and effectively.
Our laser specializes in black pigment. While reds and yellows have had successful results, colors like blues and greens will not receive full removal results. White pigment can not be removed.

How many sessions will I need?
There is no definite answer for how many sessions you will need, as the process depends on several factors: the age of the tattoo, the type of ink used, skin sensitivity, placement on the body, and individual health factors such as nicotine use.
If you’re looking to lighten your tattoo for a cover-up, 2–4 sessions is typically ideal. If your goal is full removal, the process can take 8–12 sessions.
Black ink generally responds the best to laser removal, while colors like blue and green can lighten significantly but may not be fully removed.
Fingers, hands and feet are harder to lighten therefore may need more sessions.
What is the cost and do you sell packages?
Our minimum price is $100 per session. Pricing will depend on the size and detail of the tattoo.
Because there’s no reliable way to determine how many sessions you will need, we do not sell packages. This ensures you only pay for the work you actually receive.
Does it hurt and do you use numbing creams?
Laser removal can be uncomfortable, but the good news is that treatments are very quick. Many clients describe the sensation as similar to being snapped with a rubber band or feeling tiny pops of hot grease.
We do not offer numbing on-site; however, clients are welcome to arrive with a numbing cream already applied. Please do your due diligence in researching reputable numbing cream brands.
We also use cold-compress therapy before and during the procedure to help ease discomfort.
How long do I wait in between sessions or before getting a cover up?
The ideal time to wait between laser sessions is 8 weeks. Coming in sooner will not speed up results, as your body needs time to break down and flush out the pigment.
Because the area can continue to lighten even after your final session, it is recommended to wait one year before getting the area covered with a new tattoo.
What is the healing like?
Laser tattoo removal typically heals similarly to a severe sunburn. In most cases, blistering does not occur; however it is possible, especially with colored pigments. The treated area may appear red, warm to the touch and slightly swollen for several days. Bruising can also occur.
You may apply Aloe Vera to soothe the area and support healing. Sun exposure should be avoided for at least 2 weeks. If sun exposure cannot be avoided, apply a broad-spectrum SPF to reduce the risk of hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation.
It is recommended to wait 2-3 days before swimming. If blistering occurs, wait at least 2 weeks or until the area has fully healed before swimming.
Are the technicians certified?
Each technician is certified in tattoo laser removal as recognized by the state of Texas and holds a Bloodborne Pathogens certification. They are also active members of the tattoo and piercing industry, giving them deeper insight into tattoos, pigments, and effective cover-up strategies.
